Description | Students of British Columbia Institute of Technology's fish, wildlife and recreation program learn how to collect chum salmon eggs and milt from the Alouette River in BC for the Seymour Salmon Hatchery. Beside being an excellent learning opportunity, this program aims to rebuild the Seymour River chum salmon population which has been reduced significantly due to damming, urbanization and poaching. |
