British Columbia has thousands of lakes and most of them offer fantastic fishing opportunities throughout the year. Rainbow trout at catchable size can be caught at many urban lakes in the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island. These fisheries are ideal for families and beginners. At more remote lakes, large trout are usually available and they are harder to entice.
