Lake fishing articles
British Columbia has thousands of lakes and most of them offer fantastic fishing opportunities throughout the year. Rainbow trout at catchable size can be caught at many urban lakes in the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island. These fisheries are ideal for families and beginners. At more remote lakes, large trout are usually available and they are harder to entice. While trout, char and kokanee are most commonly found in BC lakes, bass are also available in some fisheries, particularly on Vancouver Island and in the Okanagan region. In this section, you can find a list of articles that feature different lake fisheries found in British Columbia, as well as a variety of fishing techniques that can help you catch more fish in lakes.
